What's On
|

These prayer meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month. We gather together to share breakfast and to pray for our church, our mission partners and the spread of the gospel both in our city and overseas. It is a wonderful opportunity for people from different congregations to come together in prayerful dependence on God. Each month we focus on a particular ministry or mission partner.
The next Prayer Meeting is on Saturday 6th March at 7:30am-9am. The focus for March will be our link church at Lightning Ridge as the mission team from St Matthew's will be heading up their on Saturday 20th March. Please join us! |

Each week we have a large number of home bible study groups that meet to study God's Word together. These home groups are an integral part of holding our church family together. It is here that we intend to pray for each other and seek to meet the pastoral needs within the group as we are able.
If you are interested in joining a group please contact Rob Stewart. |

This year our Sunday@Six Bible Study groups are meeting together on Wednesday evenings. We enjoy fellowship with one another over supper before splitting into groups to study the Bible. Each of our groups has a person dedicated to thinking how the group can be involved in supporting mission, encouraging evangelism and facilitating pastoral care.
We meet at 7:30pm each Wednesday evening during term time. In Term 1 we will be heading to the Archbishop's Lectures at Abbotleigh for 3 weeks and then will be thinking guidance in our groups.

This is a series that addresses relevant issues regarding families, children and youth. A guest speaker trained in a given field is invited to present information on a given topic and invites discussion and questions from the floor.
We hold two lectures a year in Terms 2 & 4. We welcome members of the church & community to join us for these helpful seminars. |

Each Wednesday morning, a group of men and women from St Matthews head into two of our local primary schools, West Pymble & Gordon West to share the love of Jesus. Children from Kindergarten to Year 6 have the chance to attend a scripture class each week to learn more about Jesus and what that means for their lives. Each lesson goes for approximately 30 minutes. We also run school wide Scripture Assembly's to celebrate Easter, Education Week & Christmas.
If you would like to be involved with SRE either by praying for those who teach each week or by becoming a helper, please contact our SRE coordinator, Jo Kitchener on 9440-4265. |

Safe Ministries @ St Matthew's |
|
To take care of our children and youth and to fulfill the Diocesan requirements, every adult and young person (16yrs and older) must have completed a Safe Ministry workshop every three years, to be fully able to assist in any of our children's and youth programs. It is essential that we are all instructed through the Anglican Diocese on caring for our young people.
To find out about the next Safe Ministry workshop, please contact Sue Bulbrook on
